Accessories Please

One of mommy's favorite things about me is that I LOVE accessories. I typically like to wear them around the house whenever we are home - I know how to put on my own necklaces and I especially love my pretty pink snow boots (I happen to know the drawer these boots live in and I bring them to mommy when I feel like putting them on). Here's a recent pic of me after we had been in the house one afternoon....I really don't know why mommy thinks this is so funny - the best stuff comes from her jewelry drawer - I think she really likes accessories too!

Deck the Halls

The weekend after Thanksgiving mommy and daddy got real excited and started talking alot about a tree. Well you won't believe what happened next, we went and picked a tree out and now it lives in my house with pretty twinkle lights. Mom and Dad taught me that the tree is a little pokey so everytime I just touch it real soft with my finger and say "Ouch!" There are only a few ornaments that I like to touch but mom gave me lots of other fun decorations so I don't play with them that often.

Gobble, Gobble

Wow, the past month has been a whirlwind - I've been so busy I haven't had time to keep up with my blogging...I'm going to try and catch up this week. Here's my pictures from the FANTASTIC Thanksgiving we had at my Grandma and Grandpa Kucab's. Their house is so much fun, I got to play cards and shoot some pool, look for deer, have a tupperware party and eat an amazing turkey dinner. The best part though was that my wonderful family members and friends were all there too. What a fun day!

First Snow

I was very confused the other morning when we woke up and all my fun leaves in the backyard were covered with something else?! Mom and Dad got real excited and bundled me all up so I could go and check it out...I wasn't so sure about the whole thing until I realized I could still go down my slide and swing!! Apparently, this white stuff is called snow and mom promised the next time it comes for a visit I'll have more appropriate "gear" (i.e. boots!!) so we can play outside longer!!

Happy Halloween

Whew! This was one busy holiday and I LOVED every minute of it! The weekend after my fun trip to Greenfield Village, my friend Sophia had her annual pumpkin carving party. It was awesome, all my friends were there and we wore our costumes and turns out we had almost a whole zoo between us. Thanks Karras Family for such a fantastic party!!

Next, mommy took me to a fun Halloween show at the mall - I thought this was especially wonderful since usually when I go to the mall all I get to look at are racks of clothes at stroller level. Some of my friends went too and we had a great time running all around the audience area. Then we got to take a picture with the characters - I thought they were super neat and mommy was surprised that I wasn't scared of them at all!

Daddy was in a wedding on the actual day of Halloween and he and mommy were so sad they wouldn't get to take me out for the festivities. I didn't mind at all since instead I got to go trick-or-treating with my Grandma and Grandpa Kucab, Aunt Jill, Great Aunt Jill, Abby and my best friend Casey. It was so much fun - apparently I caught on to the whole concept very quickly and wasn't shy at all about asking for a few more pieces of candy!! Too bad mommy won't let me eat any of it....

BOO! or should I say BAAAAA?

Turns out I own a lamb costume.

And Liliana doubles as a butterfly in her downtime...

Apparently this time of year is called Halloween and mommy uses it as an excuse to go to many events where I have to be dressed up and potentially freaked out by other people dressed up (note: giant scary wizard above). Liliana and I were party animals last Sunday and stayed up way past our bedtimes to go see all the Halloween characters and jack o'lanterns at Greenfield Village. I wasn't entirely sure what to think of everything or why mommy kept trying to make me say "Baaa." Oh well. I think she had a lot of fun...Liliana and I just liked riding in the wagon together and pointing at all the sparkly pumpkins.

Tailgate - Round 2

The second tailgate of my football season was MUCH more enjoyable than the first - primiarly due to the amazing weather we had. It truly was a perfect fall day and mommy and daddy made sure to take plenty of pictures this time...

Family Outing

Mommy and I spend lots of time going to the zoo, we're lucky because its so close to our house and it has my favorite playground. The other weekend daddy went with us too! It was so much fun - mommy's a little obessed with the polar bear exhibit which is neat I guess. My favorite part of the day was throwing rocks down this cool water grate I found and chasing a peacock....

Lil Sweet Pea

Mommy and daddy were very excited to get a deal from the photographer on several of the digital images from my first year. Thanks so much Amy (Lil Sweet Pea Photography) for all the great pics!!

Fall Fun Update

Hi!! As always, mommy wants me to apologize for being such an infrequent poster these days...seems that the busier I get the harder it is for her or daddy to catch me on film! Of course, the time is flying by, I'll be 14 mos old in just 8 days! I've been walking completely on my own now for about 2 months and mommy is very happy that we don't have to hold hands all the time anymore (although secretly I know she misses it a little). I'm starting to figure out how to say all sorts of things, Hi, Hot, Shut, Side (as in Outside, which is my most FAVORITE place to be), Truck, Dog, Cat...and a few others that only mommy and daddy really understand. I love to eat but have developped some real prefrences, no veggies and no meat please. And nothing that looks strange or new - best to just hide new foods in old favorites...We spend a lot of time at the library for stories (I LOVE books), trying out new parks and going to the zoo. Mommy is a little worried about what we are going to do once it gets really cold out...Here's a few snapshots from our outdoor fun this afternoon...

HOT Tailgate

Being the HUGE state fan I am, I begged Mommy and Daddy to take me to more than one MSU tailgate this year...so we all went two weekends ago on a gorgeous sunny fall day. Turns out it was a bit warmer than we were expecting and mommy and daddy were too busy trying to keep me cool to focus on taking a lot of pictures. Here's one from a friend...at least daddy looks like he was having fun!! Hopefully they'll do a better job at the MI/MSU game!!

Nature Girl

If you didn't get to see enough of me in my birthday suit below, here's a video mom and dad took of my fireside tubby time. Clearly you can see how much I enjoyed it - I am truly the happiest in the great outdoors...

Labor Day Vacation

Whew - August has been a whirlwind - after my big birthday celebration I caught a little cold and then mommy caught the cold...apparently we did too much celebrating at the bday party! Luckily, we were both feeling better just in time for our big 5 day vacation to Trout Lake. Grandpa Kucab has a cabin up there and we went for a visit - and then Brian & Judy and Sara & Jared came up for the long weekend. It was SO MUCH FUN. I got totally spoiled by all the attention and learned so many new things about relaxing by the lake. Daddy let me touch a fish (note: DADDY allowed this, mommy was running for the antibacterial wipes) and mommy, Judy and Sara taught me all about how to "lay in the sun" this included reading the tabloids and munching on some snacks. I also spent a lot of time "being one with nature" - I got to take fireside tubbies and run around sans diaper - it was remarkably liberating and I LOVED IT!!

Who knew hillbilly golf could look this good?

Spoiled Rotten...
