For those of you that haven't spent a lot of time around Luci lately, man she is a CHATTERBOX...she talks and talks and talks all day long. Lucky for me she is quite entertaining, here's a few snippets from some recent conversations:
Grammie: Luci, can we get a hug before going bye bye?
Luci: One minute. I can only do one thing at a time like my mom.
Luci, the day the oven repair person came to our house: That's not Miss Michelle. (The previous oven repair person that had come the week before)
Me: No, its not, it's a different person.
L: What's his name? (of course loudly enough for him to hear all of this)
Me: Mommy doesn't know his name.
L: Can you ask him if he knows his name?
Me: What are you thinking about Luc? (asked after she had been quiet for several minutes in the car...rare.)
L: My mentos isn't coming out of my teeth.
Of course there are millions more and I wish I could remember them all....she's quite a goofball sometimes....clearly takes after her dad.

The Next Generation
Luci is not the only one who has been blessed with a new sibling recently. In our playgroup of seven women and seven 2yr old girls, five of us have had another baby since November, all of which, except one, were girls.
Here's everyone in birth order from left to right, Kristiana (Nov), Emme (Jan), Matilda (Feb), Connor (March), Evi (March).

Baby Wearing
So. Anyone who knows me knows that I love "gear" of all kinds. I take on hobbies for the gear alone. Well, joyfully, babies need lots of gear too, a wonderful perk of motherhood for me and I'm always looking for the next best item to help soothe, feed and entertain my children, convinced once I find it all my problems will be solved....
Which brings me to baby wearing. On the market these days are every type of sling and wrap imaginable. They come in pretty patterns and trendy packaging, right up my alley. And there is something that is just so earth motherly about them, not to mention you never hear a baby in one making a peep. I WANT TO BE A BABY WEARER. So I've tried. Them all. Unfortunately for me and Emme its just not going to work....

Happy Easter
So, this is an extremely large Easter bunny decoration that Jeff's mom brought over. Luci loves it. The bunny lived in her bedroom for a bit and then made its way down for breakfast one day and stayed at our kitchen counter for about a week. Luci especially liked to take pics of us and the bunny, often times during breakfast. Now the bunny has moved to the dining room table where she is enjoying being part of large family dinners....(please note, Dora is not being strangled around bunny's neck, she is being "carried" as mommy/daddy/aunt sara carry Emme in the baby Bjorn...)

After many fun Easter festivities the big day was finally here. As much as I gave my own mother grief for dressing me and my sister in matching outfits as children, I couldn't RESIST these dresses (thanks so much Laura!!) and had so much fun getting them all decked out for church and dinner at my parent's house.

Playgroup Easter Party
For the playgroup Easter party this year we decided to have all the families to our house for brunch and then there was a community Easter egg hunt at Beverly Park. The girls had a great time (minus our unhappy bunny in the pic below) and as always it was lots of fun to have them all together for a holiday celebration!! This was also where I discovered that Luci LOVES the easter bunny, when she saw the one at the park she begged to go sit by him and waited in a line to do it, all this from the girl who would have NOTHING to do with Santa....go figure.
