Labor Day Vacation

Whew - August has been a whirlwind - after my big birthday celebration I caught a little cold and then mommy caught the cold...apparently we did too much celebrating at the bday party! Luckily, we were both feeling better just in time for our big 5 day vacation to Trout Lake. Grandpa Kucab has a cabin up there and we went for a visit - and then Brian & Judy and Sara & Jared came up for the long weekend. It was SO MUCH FUN. I got totally spoiled by all the attention and learned so many new things about relaxing by the lake. Daddy let me touch a fish (note: DADDY allowed this, mommy was running for the antibacterial wipes) and mommy, Judy and Sara taught me all about how to "lay in the sun" this included reading the tabloids and munching on some snacks. I also spent a lot of time "being one with nature" - I got to take fireside tubbies and run around sans diaper - it was remarkably liberating and I LOVED IT!!

Happy First Birthday to ME!!

Well - its official - I'm ONE YEAR OLD!!! My did that time fly by...to celebrate the fact that we all survived and actually had an AMAZING year mommy and daddy threw a big party!! My first birthday was SO MUCH FUN!! I had the best day and was so happy to share it with all my family and friends. I got to eat cake, open presents and pretty much do whatever I wanted all day. It was GREAT. My family spent alot of time decorating the backyard - it was a cupcake/hosta extravaganza! I loved all the balloons...

Thank you to everyone for so many fabulous new toys and outfits - they are all spectacular!

ARE YOU READY?!

Just wanted to check in and give you all a little preview of what the next big event is going to be...MY FIRST BIRTHDAY. I've been so lucky because I've already had two birthday celebrations - the most recent was for our whole playgroup, even including the daddy's, at my friend Sophia's house. It was so much fun! And I was VERY excited about my cupcake and can't wait for another one.... Thank you so much Sophia for hosting such a great party!! Mommy said we get to have another party just for me on my actual birthday - I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Happy 4th of July!!

I had a SUPER FANTASTIC Fourth of July. Mommy, Daddy and I took our longest roadtrip ever to Grandma & Grandpa Kucab's cottage in Frankfurt, MI. Mom and Dad were super impressed with how well I did on the ride, which was about 5 hours (I really thought it was neat that I got to eat snacks in the car - that NEVER happens!)

While we were at the cottage I had so much fun, my second cousin Casey was there and we had THE BEST time together, she is my favorite babysitter and I had so much fun playing with her. She was there for my first time ever playing in the sand and on my first boat ride. I wasn't so sure about the sand at first but by the end of the weekend I thought it was great fun. Grandpa even let me drive the boat!! Good thing I had my captain's hat with me... Also, Casey's doggie Cody came up as well and I love him too - it was the longest time I've ever gotten to play with a puppy that big!
